I am a psychotherapist specialising in cultural trauma, helping adults, children, couples, and families improve their relationships, set healthy boundaries, and live authentically through a variety of therapeutic techniques.
Adults looking for therapy
Are you wondering why your relationships with friends, family and romantic partners feel so strained? Are you feeling stuck in life and burnt out? Do you feel like you’re a disappointment to your family, or feel as though you’re betraying them in some way? Or perhaps you are feeling suffocated by overbearing family members and their expectations, feeling unseen and unheard in their presence.
Imagine having improved relationships with your family whilst finding your voice. What would it feel like to have an increased sense of self-esteem so you could feel comfortable setting boundaries with your family and others. How would it feel to be living your true authentic life?
I am an integrative psychotherapist working with children, teenagers and adults and couples, specialising in intergenerational cultural trauma i.e. trauma passed down through family generations. “Integrative” means I use a variety of techniques and modalities to journey with you in therapy.
We will gently explore together how your past childhood and cultural experiences might have shaped your unconscious beliefs, feelings and patterns of behaviour. Often we are unaware that our adult challenges arise not only from what happened to us in childhood, but also from what we didn’t get growing up. I also use breath and body work as a means of connecting with yourself and your nervous system, which is an important element to healing. I am a believer in journeying with you and exploring your inner world at your pace.
Looking for therapy for your child?
Is your child struggling with big emotions, frequent meltdowns, or difficulty expressing themselves? Are they having trouble at school, feeling anxious, or showing signs of low confidence? Perhaps they’ve experienced a loss, change, or difficult life event that they’re finding hard to process.
Imagine your child feeling more confident in themselves, better able to communicate their emotions, and having the tools to navigate challenges. Picture them feeling supported, understood, and secure in their relationships with family, friends, and teachers.
I am an integrative psychotherapist working with children, teenagers, and adults, specialising in intergenerational cultural trauma—how family patterns and experiences shape us across generations. With children, I use a variety of creative and therapeutic techniques to help them express their inner world in a way that feels natural and safe. This includes:
Talking Therapy – Providing a space for children to share their thoughts and worries at their own pace.
Working with Parents & Caregivers
I believe in working closely with parents and caregivers, offering reflective sessions to gain insight into your child’s experiences while gently exploring how your own past may be influencing your present parenting. These sessions support you in understanding your child’s emotions and strengthening your bond with them.
Areas of Experience:
If you feel your child could benefit from therapy, contact me to see how we can work together in supporting them.
Couples looking for therapy
Are you feeling dissatisfied in your relationship and missing how it was at the start? Are you both looking for ways to have better boundaries with each other? Perhaps you would like to work on improving your communication with one another.
How would it feel to be able to reconnect with your partner in a way that feels different and better than when you first got together? To be able to express yourself and feel heard by them. Imagine waking up to your partner every day and being thankful and excited to be with them.
I will journey with you both as we explore your past relationships and what you witnessed love to look like in your past, looking deeply and curiously at how these experiences are shaping your current relationship.
