Do you worry that you don’t fit in? That something might be wrong with you? Or that you don’t know how to be in a world that increasingly feels uncertain.
You may feel that you can’t connect to people around you, or feel wobbly, anxious, surprised at outbursts of tears, or anger, or a nothingness inside.

Some of the issues people have come to me about

  • Fear about the rise of the right and major changes in our world.
  • What does it mean for me when my partner becomes trans?
  • I’m bisexual and in a straight relationship – shall I stay or go? Can I be bi when I’m in a straight relationship?
  • Challenges of raising children in an inter-racial relationship. We have such different ideas; how can I support the children with their identity; what’s my identity; where’s my space?
  • I don’t know if I’m sexual or not, or if I haven’t met the right person, or if I’m looking at the wrong gender. It’s difficult to talk about, but it’s going round in my head.
  • Is it too late for me to come out as trans/ gay / lesbian / live my life true to my heart?
  • I don’t think I behave like other people do and I’m worried I might be broken.

How therapy with me can help

Some of the things people have said after working together:
I’ve improved my relationships with people so that I feel more real, less alone and more alive.
The same difficulties are in my life, but I find I can deal with them now.
I am more at ease with who I am, and feel stronger in myself.
I’m managing my anxiety and am sleeping better.

About me

I am a queer cis woman with a lot of life experience that has brought me to appreciate the many ways we as humans have of living and loving. I work with LGBTQ people and welcome straight people too.
I use talking therapy to explore what’s going on inside you. We’ll notice your thoughts, your emotions, signs from your body and by using imagination to make sense of who you are. We’ll also take a look at the environment that you have grown up in and how the pressures from family, wider cultures, schools, religions and workplace give messages about what parts of you are acceptable to show. Our aim is for you to be more you, whoever you are; and to work through what that means for you in your life and for the relationships you have with people; so that you can be more confident and comfortable in navigating life.

I am an experienced Gestalt counsellor with specialist training in LGBTQ issues who is currently undergoing further training as an integrative transpersonal psychotherapist.
