My name is Emma. I am a psychodynamic psychotherapist providing individual therapy. I welcome both those new to therapy and those seeking further support, offering a space where you can express yourself openly and feel genuinely heard.
In my practice, I utilise psychodynamic principles to help reveal the unconscious patterns that shape your behaviour and relationships. Together, we’ll work to uncover the underlying issues that may be contributing to your current struggles, whether they manifest as anxiety, depression, or relational difficulties.
Psychodynamic therapy is based on the idea that by understanding the roots of your emotions and behaviours, you can gain profound insights and foster meaningful change. This process helps illuminate the connections between your past experiences and your present challenges, ultimately leading to greater self-awareness and healing.
Therapy can be incredibly beneficial, offering you a space to gain clarity and understanding about your emotions and behaviours. It can empower you to break free from unhelpful patterns and develop healthier ways of relating to yourself and others. My goal is to support you through this process, helping you explore your thoughts and feelings in a safe, confidential environment, while fostering greater understanding and resilience.
I have a MSc in Psychodynamic Psychotherapy, and am a fully qualified, BACP registered therapist. I have experience working with clients with a range of issues, from anxiety, trauma, bereavement and depression.
I provide a complimentary 15-minute phone consultation so we can explore whether we’d work well together. I strongly believe that matching with the right therapist is essential for effective therapy. During this brief call, you can ask questions, learn about my therapeutic approach, and evaluate if my style meets your specific needs.
