I am a Psychotherapist specialising in Systemic Psychotherapy. I have worked for 12 years with children and families in the NHS, where I practise as a Team Lead and Senior Family Therapist. I aim to provide a warm, safe and confidential space to talk about family life, individual experiences, or anything that might be causing pain or distress. Whether you’re experiencing difficulties in your relationships at home, a breakdown in communication, or you’re struggling with mental health challenges, I can offer a secure space to work through these concerns.
Family Work
I work with families, children and adolescents where there are relationship difficulties as well as mental health challenges. I also offer parenting support and behavioural strategies for children and teenagers. Additionally, I have experience working with families in grief or where a loss has been experienced.
Couples Work
I specialise in couples therapy, using an emotionally focused approach. I have experience working with couples who are facing difficulties in their relationship, navigating communication challenges and emotional distress. I also support couples who are considering separation, particularly where children are involved.
Parenting Support
Parenting can be fun and extremely rewarding, but also challenging. I work with parents whose children or adolescents may be struggling with their behaviour and emotions, including anxiety, depression, oppositional behaviours and emotional distress.
Individual Therapy
Understanding life from a systemic perspective can shed light on why certain feelings and reactions arise. Relationships, personal beliefs, and a person’s sense of self all influence how they experience the world. Patterns in these areas can affect everyday life in ways that may be difficult to recognise.
Exploring past experiences and connecting with the inner child can help make sense of how early relationships shape current interactions, offering insight and clarity for moving forward.
What to Expect
I offer a free 30-minute telephone consultation so that we can discuss therapy tailored to your specific needs. This also gives you the opportunity to get to know me. Having a good rapport and a strong therapeutic relationship is an important part of therapy and often leads to better outcomes.
If you choose to continue, I usually recommend an initial 4–6 sessions. During this time, we will discuss your best hopes for therapy, create a plan to help you achieve your goals, and begin working toward meaningful change.
